A coworker asked me for a script. Here’s the request: would want to copy all files on this list [an attached text document] to another location (doesn’t really matter where for now). All are currently located in server share folder. The path in the new location should begin with the part after “folder” In a nutshell, here is the high-level description of what the script must do: Given a text file which provides a list of files, copy the files from a fixed source to a fixed destination, recreating the directory trees on the destination. A simple file copy won’t work because there may be files in the source folders which should not be copied. ![]() Sample content of the text file is: client CD120 Samarai Legends Drafts drafts folder.txt client CD120 Samarai Legends Inbox Legends.doc client CD120 Bushido Warriors Inbox Warrior Code.doc The solution to this is to make a simple batch file that parses the content of the text file, generating the appropriate xcopy command to copy the file. We’ll call the batch file xcopylist.bat; its one line of content is below. Change c: temp to whatever path you want the files copied to. (I used c: temp for testing.) Change server share folder to the root folder of the files to copy. For /f 'delims='%%i in (filelist.txt) do echo D|xcopy ' server share folder%%i' 'c: temp%%i' /i /z /y Put the file list in the same directory as the batch file and name the file list filelist.txt. Then run the batch file and viola! You’ve got to love the for command, which lets you (among other things) parse text files and use the line-by-line output. Another trick in here is the output parser pipe, which allows us to automatically press the “D” key with each xcopy command. Note: The batch file overwrites files in the destination automatically. To turn this off (have it prompt you), change /y to /y- in the batch file. However, if you’re using Windows NT 4.0, just delete the /y switch altogether – it’s only supported in Windows XP and Windows 2000. Many thanks for your fast response! I modified starlist.txt as you suggested, so that each line reads as follows: Play Journeys Spain 05 Chris’s Photos DSCN0319.JPG etc This duplicated the files successfully, but put each individual image into a folder with the image name, within the correct folder structure e.g: D: Starred Photos Play Journeys Spain 05 Chris’s Photos DSCN0319.JPG DSCN0319.JPG I am using the following command: for /f “delims=”%%i in (starlist.txt) do echo D|xcopy “C: Users Joe Pictures%%i” “D: Starred Photos%%i” /i /z /y Do you have any suggestions on why the folder is being created? So it sounds like you want to copy only those files whose names are in the given file list. The easiest way I can think of is by doing this: for /f 'delims='%%i in (filelist.txt) do xcopy 'c: Temp%%i?' 'c: Final' /i /z /y /s The two key changes are the question mark at the end of the first path in the xcopy command, and the /s switch. By adding a question mark to the end of the first path, you allow xcopy to look for “all files that match the pattern”. Nov 12, 2013 Good day everyone, So the other day I used the Windows 7 version of Windows Search to find all files of specific file type in a networked drive, so that we. Get-Service| Out-File services.txt Get-Service| Export-CSV services.csv Get-Service| Export-CliXML services.xml. Open a CSV file in Notepad and what do you get? The second command will work, because the shell will parse the CSV file, break it down into individual pieces of data and send those to New-ADUser. Of course, this means that test1.txt and test1.txtt would both match, but since it’s unlikely you have files with more than three characters in the extension, this should be fine. The /s switch tells xcopy to search all subdirectories of the source directory for matching files, and copy them to the destination with the same folder hierarchy. To test it out, run the following: xcopy c: windows *.log c: temp /i /z /y /s This will copy every *.log file from the Windows directory to your c: temp directory. This will result in operations like the following: C: windows WindowsUpdate.log C: windows Debug blastcln.log C: windows Debug UserMode userenv.log C: windows Logs DirectX.log C: windows Microsoft.NET Framework v2.0.50727 ngen.log In the temp directory, you’d have this: C: temp WindowsUpdate.log C: temp Debug blastcln.log C: temp Debug UserMode userenv.log C: temp Logs DirectX.log C: temp Microsoft.NET Framework v2.0.50727 ngen.log Viola! Hi Brian, a need your help one more time Supose that I got a file “filelist.txt” with this content (names without extensions) test test1 test2 test3 test4.etc I have a folder with a lot of files named like this form (test.txt, test.xls, test.doc, etc) see example below c: Temp test.txt test.xls test.doc test1.txt test1.xls test1.doc... I need copy all of the contents in the “Temp” folder, to another folder “Final”, with subfolders named like the name of files and including the files with same name inside of the several folder see below c: Final this folder are empty at first or don´t exist at first This is that i will to result after execute the batch file c: Final test test.txt test.xls test.doc c: Final test1 test1.txt test1.xls test1.doc c: Final test2 test2.txt test2.xls test3.doc Ps sorry for my enligish, I hope I had explained correctly Thanks and regards MM •. Manuel, I’d love to help out, but your requests are getting very specialized, and getting close to consulting services. I’ll try to point you in the right direction First, you’re going to need to a combination of a FOR loop to parse the filenames in the text file. Next, you need to create the directory, then copy files to it. ![]() Try creating a batch file with this: for /f 'delims='%%i in (filelist.txt) do ( md c: Final%%i xcopy c: temp%%i.* c: Final%%i /i /z /y /s ) I didn’t test that but it looks right. If you need further services, you can consider hiring me as a consultant. I appear to be having the same issue as Joe. Before running this in my live environment, I decided to test it first. My bat file states: for /f “delims=”%%I in (test.txt) do echo D| xcopy “C: Documents and Settings e1000721 Desktop New%%I” “C: Copy%%I” My test.txt file states Level test File1.txt Level test File2.txt test File3.txt test File4.txt And it does copy over fine, only when it finishes, the file structure appears as C: Copy Level test File1.txt File2.txt C: Copy Level test File2.txt File2.txt C: Copy test File3.txt File3.txt C: Copy test File4.txt File4.txt Any thoughts on how I can get it to not make the last subfolder the name of the file? If your filelist.txt has the full path to the files, you need to do two things: 1. Remove any path prefix to the source parameter of the xcopy command. Remove the first slash in the UNC path in the destination parameter of the xcopy command. Fortunately the command shell in Windows allows you to specify a substring of characters from a variable (called string indexing, see ). If the variable%i was your full UNC path, and you want to drop the first character (so you don’t have a double-slash in your path), you can specify%i:~1 — the:~1 says “start from the second character” (strings are zero-indexed, so the first character is at position 0, the second at position 1, etc.). Your command line can then be: for /f “delims=”%%i in (filelist.txt) do ( set fil=%%i echo D|xcopy “%%i” “c: temp%fil:~1%” /i /z /y ) You have to set a temporary variable (“fil” in the above), since as far as I can tell string indexing doesn’t work with the%%i for loop variable. Nice problem and solution. Can a scripting langugage such as biterscripting make the task easy? Here is a script. # Script CopyFiles.txt var str src, dest, list, file cat “/path/to/list file.txt” > $list lex “1” $list > $file while ($file “”) do system copy (“ ””+$src+”/”+$file) (“ ””+$dest+”/”+$file) lex “1” $list > $file done This script is in biterscripting ( ). Save the script in file C:/Scripts/CopyFiles.txt. Call the script using the following command. Script “C:/Scripts/CopyFiles.txt” src(“/path/to/source folder”) dest(“/path/to/destination folder”) •. Hi Brian, I need ur help very urgently. I have a text file which contains list of folders and files I want to copy to another location. Those folders r in different drives like C: and D. My text file content gos something like this. C: Folder1 D: Test2 C: mytext.txt Can u please give me the script that copies these folders along with their subfolders and contents to another location?? I have tried many. One of those is: for /f “delims=”%i in (D: includelist.txt) do xcopy “%i ” “U: BACKUP ” /i /z /y /s /e •. This is AWESOME!! But I am having a similar problem as Sony. My list.txt file contains the full source path (as there could be multiple drive sources). Is there a way to make the destination of the batch file ignore the drive letter for the destination? EXAMPLE OF FILELIST.TXT c: users damian.home appdata local microsoft outlook [email protected] c: users damian.home appdata local microsoft outlook MailStore Offline.pst BATCH FILE ———– for /f “delims=”%%i in (filelist.txt) do echo D|xcopy “%%i” “D: PSTs%%i” /i /z /y The source works fine but the destination tries to copy to “D: PST C: USERS”. Actually if the destination could just drop the “:” that would be PERFECT! Hey Brian, Thanks for such amazing information! I want to create the scenario Manuel was asking about: Some files are in multiple SubDirectories and I have the file names in a text file (file1.pdf file2.pdf file3.pdf) I want all locations of the same file recreated when applicable. Ex: e: SourceFolder SubDir1 SubDir1A file1.pdf e: SourceFolder SubDir2 SubDir2A file2.pdf e: SourceFolder SibDir3 SubDir3A file3.pdf e: SourceFolder SubDir4 SubDir4A file3.pdf becomes e: DestFolder SubDir1 SubDir1A file1.pdf e: DestFolder SubDir2 SubDir2A file2.pdf e: DestFolder SibDir3 SubDir3A file3.pdf e: DestFolder SubDir4 SubDir4A file3.pdf Where file3.pdf was found in two locations and placed in both trees. So far, I keep getting a directory created with the file name like follows: e: DestFolder file1.pdf SubDir1 SubDir1A file1.pdf e: DestFolder file2.pdf SubDir2 SubDir2A file2.pdf e: DestFolder file3.pdf SibDir3 SubDir3A file3.pdf e: DestFolder file3.pdf SubDir4 SubDir4A file3.pdf Where fileX.pdf folders are created and file3.pdf is in its appropriate tree but both under a file3.pdf subdirectory and I’ve tried: do echo D|xcopy do echo F|xcopy do xcopy and I’m not getting the result I want yet. I hope that all makes sense: ) Any thoughts? Thanks, Brian! You for command looks fine (and the set command aren’t needed as you are not using the variables you are setting). I just tried this by doing the following: Batch file: for /f “delims=”%%i in (c: temp filelist.txt) do echo D|xcopy “C: temp%%i” “C: temp output%%i” /i /z /y FileList.txt file: restoredb.bat restoredb.sql The result was the restoredb.bat and restoredb.sql files, both of which originally existed in the source folder (c: temp), were copied to the destination folder (c: temp output). Hi Brain, Are you getting payed for all this work? I just read through the whole tread, and it seems you are the only contributer to actual solutions. What I read is very usfull, but I can’t figure out how to seach the files from the list in subfolders. Is this even possible? I used this: For /f “delims=”%%i in (filelist.txt) do xcopy “c: Temp%%i?” “c: Final” /i /z /y /s and it woorks great if all files are located in c: temp But the files I am looking for is in subfolders to c: temp Hope you yet again can come with a solution Best regards •. Hello, Brian! I’m beginner. Though cases discussed on your site are very similar to that what I need, still I can’t get the solution. My case: 2.1. I have a folder C: temp with, say, 3 Excel files Name1.xlsx, Name2.xlsx, Name3.xlsx 2.2. I have FileList.txt file in C: temp folder. File contains: Name2.xlsx Name3.xlsx 2.3. I need to move files Name2.xlsx and Name3.xlsx, as defined in FileList.txt, from the folder C: temp into the folder C: temp new PS. An advantage of vehicle with manual gear compare to the one with automatic is that in case of manual gear I can start the engine from the push. I am looking you to push me. I’m in need of a little help here please, been going round and round with this to no avail!! The goal of this batch is to copy files from a server to a local PC, scheduled to run every 30 minutes, to copy each project’s image folder and copy to a local PC. I have a set of text files, all with random names i.e. 154799.txt in a single folder, the contents of each file is a single line with a UNC path server_name folder user jobname (each of these paths contain image files) I need to use the contents of each text file as a path for a robocopy command There is an unknown number of *.txt files each with random name, so this needs to run once for each ‘new’ textfile. I have this batch that generates a list of the filenames and outputs into a single text file called files_list.txt file for%%a in (*.txt) do echo%%a >> server_name folder user file_list files_list.txt for /F “tokens=*”%%g in (files_list.txt) DO @echo%%g That produces a file_list.txt with contents: 154799.txt 123456.txt 254874.txt Where I’m stumped is getting the next batch to take each line of the files_list.txt as a source path for /f “delims=”%%i in (file_list.txt) do robocopy “%%i” c: copy server_footage /s /e Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks, Andy! Two things that could be throwing you off: 1. Use “delims= ” — that is, use a space as a delimiter. This solved a problem for me in eliminating white space at the end of the filename. You need three loops. Think of it this way: LOOP 1 — get the filename of all text files (*.txt) and put it in a new file (files_list.txt) LOOP 2 — go through files_list.txt, and for each line (i.e. Each file, do LOOP 3 LOOP 3 — called by loop 2, this reads each line in the file and does the robocopy Your LOOP2 and LOOP3 have to be in the same command, something like this: for /f “delims= ”%%i in (c: temp files_list.txt) do for /f “delims= ”%%j in (%i) do robocopy “%%j” c: temp destination /s /e Hope that helps! Hi Brian, I have another change I would like to implement: Deleting the 154799.txt file if there is no new data (changes/updated/new files) within the source folder using the errorlevel check from Robocopy errorlevel 0 echo No Change & goto remove remove then deletes 154799.txt and all other *.txt files but I can’t seem to find a way to split this out of the original variable in Loop 3. It acts only on the last *.txt file it reads, so if there is no change to that, it deletes all *.txt, even if the preceding files had new or changed content. Section of script contains: call:REPORT_ERRORLEVEL goto:EOF:REPORT_ERRORLEVEL echo. Brian, xcopy switch /I says: “If destination does not exist and copying more than one file, assumes that destination must be a directory.” So, the prompt is displaying no matter destination exists or not, copying one file or more. Xcopy switch /Y says: “Suppresses prompting to confirm you want to overwrite an existing destination file.” So, by first run switch /Y does not help: prompt requiring ‘F’ or ‘D’ is displayed. If files are already copied into destination file, then by the second run neither the prompt in question nor the confirmation overwriting prompt are displayed. I experimented with Win XP & MS Office 2007, Win XP & MS Office 2010, and Windows 7 & MS Office 2013. The behavior in all cases are the same: prompt is displayed. I was absolutely surprised to see it on my Win XP machines. Since April 30 (see my msg above) I was occupied with other assignments, I new that batch exists and did not try it until recently. I think this prompt is caused by some updates that change some security settings. I googled and people mention it, too. Maybe you can figure this out. Hello, Brian! Googling brought the solution. Though this solution is not universal, but for my case it is the solution. If by copying the file name is not changing (what is my case), then there is no need to provide file name at destination (in my case%%i at the end of the destination path can be skipped) and “Does C: specify a file name or directory name on the target. Hi brian, thanks for the answer, perhaps, i failed on the explanation of my problem. I have several pdf files on subfolders, and I need to move these files to an upper level directory. I’m assuming that each line in chknew.log (source) has a corresponding line in new.log (destination), so each row matches in each file If that’s the case, let me think you can loop through one file but not two files. Hello Brian, I have a folder with files that I do need to copy to multiple folders and subfolders. The folders and subfolders are not created but have them in txt list together with the name of the specific file. Brian, Thanks so much for this. I realize it is an old post but I have a question regarding my results. Here is what I’m running: for /f “delims=”%%I in (TEST.txt) do echo F| xcopy “Source%%I” “Destination%%I” I ran 28,000 files from various folders/levels of folders and it worked great (27990 files copied)! However, about 50 seemingly random files do not get moved and result in a “0 File(s) copied” message. I can see nothing odd about the files that are not getting copied. For example, one folder contains 100.tif images, all filenames are numbers in ascending order. Only 2 of the images were copied. If I alter my TEST.txt and only run a subset of those 100 through (10 say), DIFFERENT images get copied/don’t get copied. Any reason it’s randomly not copying certain files? If not, no worries and thanks for the batch file! I’m waiting for your reply. Good day everyone, So the other day I used the Windows 7 version of Windows Search to find all files of specific file type in a networked drive, so that we can remove the extraneous ones. The issue with it is I would like to take the results of the search and turn it into a 'Checklist' of sorts. Is there anyway to print/export/save the results of a search? I already 'Saved' the search, but that's really only helpful to me for re-running the search in the future. Ideally, I would like to be able to save/export it as a TXT or CSV file with the currently viewed columns. Is there a way to do this, be it through the GUI or command line? Thanks in advance! Hello Paul, I have faced this problem before, and this is how i ended up getting that list: 1 - Open Windows Explorer and search for what you want 2 - When the search results populate, select all (Ctrl + A) 3 - Hold the Shift key and Right Click on the search results 4 - Select 'Copy as Path' (this option only shows up when you hold shift before the right click) 5 - Paste into a notepad window, Excel spreadsheet, etc. The results will be formatted as: ' path to first item' ' path to second item'. Hope this helps. Its pretty coarse, but you could try screenshotting and OCR. If you have OneNote then try this. 1)Do your search 2)Use the OneNote screen clip to copy a single column 3)Do the same thing for the next column, making sure the first and last entries are the same. 4)Repeat for all your columns 5)Copy text from the first clip 6)Paste into the first column in Excel 7)Repeat for the following columns I just tested it and it works in the 2010 Beta. I'm sure it would work with 07 as well. If you have many pages of files it might get to be redundant, but its the only thing I can think of. Just make sure it all lines up so you dont get an off-by-one error. Unfortunately OCR doesnt handle columns very well, so doing more than one at a time messes it all up. I just tried it and it works well. Hi Tarek, I tried that yesterday, and while it does allow me to copy the results to an external source, all I get is the path file. I was hoping to find a way to get the results with the current Detail view (file name, date created, date modified, size, etc). Any other suggestions? Thanks again! -Paul This article was written for Windows XP, but should apply to Windows 7 also. How to print Windows XP Search results to a file?: (Using Nirsoft's SysExporter) Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Desktop Experience]. Hi Ramesh, I really, really wanted SysExporter to work, but it doesn't work properly with Windows 7. As a matter of fact, right under the download link on their page it says ' Notice for Windows 7 users! Starting from Windows 7, Microsoft changed the control that is used for displaying files and folder in Explorer window, and thus SysExporter cannot grab the data from Explorer windows on Windows 7. Did not know that, Paul. Thanks for the update. Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Desktop Experience]. This one thing I have been wanting since Windows 3.1! Microsft NEEDS to add this to there list of things to have. I have often enough needed to work with a list of files discovered in a search, but need it as a static list to work with. I cannot use a saved search, because the list would change as I work with the files. I NEED THE SEARCH RESULTS PRINTED OR SAVED TO A MEMO OR TEXT FILE. I hope I am succesful for now in utilizing the suggestions here, but I really hope Microsoft will open their eyes to the need and usefullness of such an ability in their OS. I use the 'select all' and 'copy as path' as suggested by others. Paste it in Excel and run a VBA script to loop through each result to display any file attribute you want (at least any attribute available through the FileSystemObject). Requires a little coding but works like a charm. Here are the basics of the steps and code. First go to a blank worksheet in Excel and name the column for cell A1 as 'Files' (or whatever). Then use the 'select all' and 'copy as path' method to copy your results in cell A2. Make sure, in VBA, you have a library reference to 'Microsoft Scripting Runtime' (go to the VBA Editor and then the menu 'Tools > References' to add the reference). This allows access to the 'FileSystemObject' which you'll be using to get the attributes. Then apply following script (adjust as you want). Not the best solution, but it works and only uses standard windows command line tools. First, use Tarek's 'Copy as Path' solution and paste the results into a text file. Then use the built-in 'for' command to regenerate the missing details. For example: for /F 'delims=;'%p in (myFiles.txt) do @echo '%~nxp',%~tp,%~zp,'%~pp'>>myFiles.csv will generate csv output in myFiles.csv (sorry - no 'Type' column) The cryptic characters mean:%nxp - filename and extension%~tp - timestamp%~zp - file size, in bytes%~pp - file path for more options, type for /? At the command prompt.

It is located nearer to the highway to Jakarta city than the existing Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 cluster. With my Garuda Indonesia flight back to Singapore, it also gives me my first opportunity to use this new terminal for departures. Check-in for Garuda flights are at Row A. While the terminal is new, I wasn’t expecting seeing signboards that look a little too familiar for my comfort. With Garuda Indonesia being only one out of very few airlines currently operating out of Terminal 3, immigration and security queues were non-existent. A fantastic start to a flight. Inside the massive new terminal. The signs leading to the gates. At present, only Gates 5 to 10 are operational for international flights. At Gate 6 where my flight will depart from. Hmm two delayed flights, with the Jeddah one not even being updated to the new delayed timing. I don’t have a lot of hope in my flight too. Ooh look at Airbus A330 at Gate 6 pulling in at 4.15pm, 15 minutes before my scheduled departure. Hmm, why do you make me feel uneasy. The crowd formed as it approached departure time, at 4.30pm. And at once, the doors to the aerobridge of Gate 6 were shut. While I am sort of okay with bus rides, it’s not very okay when I’m taking it to board a plane. Going down a second set of escalators to the bus lounge. Boarding my “bus” from Jakarta to Singapore. The bus got pretty crowded for the ride. Wonder where they’re taking me. I hope it’s not the plane on the remote gate in the far distance – it’s raining. 8 gates away and we arrived on the domestic side of Terminal 3. Feels strange to board a bus from gate to gate within the terminal. Maybe they should have designed the airport with a stacked domestic and international area like KLIA, Suvarnabhumi Airport or other airports in general around the world. No money to fly Bisnis Class but I’ve got a Bis. Boarding through Gate 14 of the domestic area. The next bus has arrived with more passengers. Boarding my flight to Singapore. Passing through the Business Class cabin. Ah yes, those welcoming smiles are exactly how I remembered Garuda when I. A far cry from the. Here comes the bags. The IFE was also more familiar to use than the on my way to Jakarta. While the entertainment selection is the same, it’s way easier to navigate on this newer screen and interface. Oh wait, it is probably a basic requirement I guess. Pushing back from the gate. Taxiing away from the terminal building. It’s a long queue for take-off. And finally, take-off. 1 hour delayed from schedule. On my way to, uh, Jakarta from Bali? I guess that with the quick turnaround of the aircraft stacking up the delays, the IFE wasn’t reset for this flight. The timings were all correct for the current flight with Denpasar Bali taking the time for Jakarta and Jakarta taking the time for Singapore. This time, there was a choice of “ Nasi Daging” or “ Nasi Ayam“. Since beef seems to be rare for economy in-flight meals, I opted for that option. My seat neighbour opted for chicken though, which made me really disappointed when I saw it – it wasn’t nasi (rice), it was an Italian Chicken Crespelle. Back on home soil after circling above Batam for 5 times. There probably weren’t any available landing slots for us after we missed the original slot due to the late departure. Overall, this flight finally reminded me of Garuda’s 5-Star Airline Rating on Skytrax. The food was still missing an appetizer but it’s probably Garuda’s regional catering style. Overall a comfortable trip with Garuda, but there’s probably a great way to fly too. Garuda Indonesia operates flies the Singapore – Jakarta route 9 times daily. While the Boeing 737-800 is commonplace in the fleet especially for regional flights, twice a day, one of their widebody jets supplement the schedule with extra seats. During the day, GA825 uses the Airbus A330-200 for the short shuttle. GA825 departed from Gate A21 on the day of my departure. PK-GPL on duty for my flight to Jakarta. Passing through the Business Class cabin. Loks pretty comfy for the short flight. Heading into the Economy Class cabin. The seat seems to be an older product instead of what has been advertised. The legroom available in the seat. Do note of the entertainment box on the “K” seats. The IFE’s touch screen is pretty dated, requiring a hard or sharp press into it to sense your touch. I just used my fingernail after a couple of seconds of wrongly pressing things. Hmm, the dimensions of the new safety video is off in the IFE. Pushing back from the gate. Passing by the smaller sibling of Garuda’s fleet. Crossing over Airport Boulevard to the runway on the T2 and T4 side. Passing by Terminal 4. An AirAsia Airbus A320 on taxi parallel to my plane. The new Singapore Airlines Airbus A350-900 following behind. Bye Singapore. And in just a couple of minutes, it was all clouds due to the wet weather. And lunch is served, or rather given. The stewardess just said “Nasi Ikan” and gave me my tray. I’d assume the other option was not available. Seems a little plain but it’s actually rather salty. Compared with my, this was kind of disappointing. Time for a toilet visit after the meal. Amenities available in the toilet are a bottle of cologne, hand lotion and toothbrush kit. Not bad for a short flight. Descending into Jakarta. Touchdown at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Whoops, wouldn’t want to be downgraded to this Firefly plane for a 2-hour flight. Might not want to be in this 440-seater Lion Air Airbus A330-300 too. Heading towards Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Terminal 3. Arriving at Garuda’s home base. Heading for immigration at the new Terminal 3. Overall, the flight was a decent but forgettable experience. Having been able to compare their service last year when they were having awards coming their way regularly and with the new route launch to, I’d have to say that either their service standards have dropped, or they have different standards for regional and long-haul flights. The IFE was clunky and a chore to flip through the many pages to access a TV episode, and the food, while understandably is catered from Jakarta and which came along with the inbound flight, didn’t look very appetizing (though the taste was sort of fine to me). Oh, and the meal did not have an appetizer course unlike the flight to London. True, the flight to London is significantly longer but a meal catered as a “lunch” should still be a lunch regardless of destination. Let’s see how other full-service airlines fare on the same route soon. It’s only a short hop from Malang to Surabaya with a distance of less than 100km. However, the only afternoon train with a good timing that suits me so happens to be the most expensive option – the KA Bima. Luckily though, there is a special flat fare of Rp60,000 for journeys on the KA Bima between Malang and Surabaya Gubeng. For Eksekutif class trains, there is a separate entrance and waiting area at Malang Railway Station, to the left of the main ticket hall., I just headed straight for boarding. Inside the Eksekutif waiting area after getting my boarding pass checked. The exit to the platforms. I spent a few seconds seated in the waiting area before I realised that the Bima was ready for passengers, just that the rest of the passengers prefer to wait in the waiting room first. Well, not me. Platform 3 will be where I’m headed. And since I have the whole train to myself for the time being, I got a great opportunity for empty interior shots of the new K10 bogie Eksekutif class coaches, though these are 2016 batches. Each seat is ready with a pilow. The not-so-comfortable single seat. One thing about the seats on the 2016 batch of coaches is that it still has the hard plastic backing similar to older Eksekutif class coaches, as compared to the full leather wraparound and magazine holder on the 2017 batch. The space and legroom one gets when the seats are reclined. The button to press to recline resembles those found on planes. Looking towards Surabaya and still waiting for the locomotive to couple to the rake. The route map found above the gangway doors of this Bima trainset. I’ll just be riding on this short portion though. It’s worth to note that the Bima is an abbreviation of “Biru Malam” or “Blue Night Train” and its efficient southern route is also due to the fact that it once carried blue-coloured sleeper coaches for the night journey. Unfortunately, it’s no longer the flagship train of PT KAI and there’s no longer any sleeper coaches in Indonesia. Inside the Kereta Makan of the Bima train. The Musholla space for one in the Kereta Makan. The exterior of the K10 bogie coaches. Finally, the locomotive is attached just a few minutes before departure to take the train to Surabaya Gubeng and thereafter to Jakarta Gambir. CC206 13 85 is on duty today. Welcome messages played on the information bar together with the announcements. The famous Mount Bromo appearing shortly after departure from Malang. Some housing and plantations with the view of Mount Bromo. Approaching Bangil and the junction towards Banyuwangi Baru. Making an unscheduled stop at Bangil. My driver heading for a toilet break as what the sign suggests, which means the train isn’t moving off anywhere for the next few minutes. The platforms at Bangil. Usually, when these things happen on a single track, it means there’s an oncoming train. And true enough, here comes a Pertamina oil tanker train. Once the opposing train made a stop, the station master clears my train on to Surabaya Gubeng. Just outside of Bangil, the train runs very close to the parallel road. A short while later, the twin volcano Arjuno-Welirang is visible on the left side of the train. Shortly after, the Reska staff goes around the train to sell some drinks and snacks. Arriving into Sidoarjo slightly late due to the crossing at Bangil with the Jenggala and Logawa waiting. Departing as quickly as we arrived. Soon after, the train passed by the entrance to Juanda Airport. There’s no rail access to the airport though. Next station: City Hall. Merging with the line from Kertosono, Yogyakarta and Jakarta before Wonokromo. Crossing over the Surabaya River. Approaching Surabaya Gubeng with the old station on the left. Decoupling the locomotive for it to run-around to the other end of the train to form the onward Bima towards Jakarta Gambir. Alighting at the new Surabaya Gubeng station. However, I still walked to the end of the train to cross the tracks to the old Surabaya Gubeng station as it was on the city side. This is the reason why I have to walk to the end of the train – because there’s no other way. The exit is at the north end of the station. Once outside, it’s within walking distance to my hotel. Back at Gambir after around 2 years since my. Something new here this time though, is the presence of the check-in counters, a new system in place from this year onwards. I booked my key train tickets through as they had Rp.40,000 and Rp.100,000 promo codes to be used on tickets of different minimum prices, saving me about 20% than if I had gotten my tickets directly. Also, the official website does not accept foreign credit cards. Check-in was really fast too, it probably took me 6 seconds to key in the 6 letters of my PNR code, another 3 seconds for the system to retrieve my booking and just 1 second for my ticket to pop out of the thermal printer. It would have been faster if I had scanned the code on my print-out but I was too lazy to take it out of my bag and just keyed in the code which SMSed me as a reminder of my journey about 3 hours before departure. This system removes any possibility of ticket scalping as the PNR code can only be retrieved by the passenger matching the details on the ticket which will be checked by the staff before entering the passenger-only area while embracing the trend of online purchases allowing a paper-free ticketing process up till just before boarding the train. I wish another certain neighbouring railway company would think of such a simple idea too instead of making life difficult for all passengers. I don’t really like the trend of the thermal printers everywhere though, the paper is as thin as an NTUC receipt and the words will fade after some time, meaning you can’t keep the tickets for 20 or 30 years down the road as a souvenir, you’ll just end up with a rectangular orange slip of paper. This also means you can’t check-in early, though check-in opens 7 days before departure. If you don’t keep your boarding pass carefully, the words or code will fade, and if you so happen to lose your boarding pass, you cannot reprint it – each boarding pass can only be printed once. Ticket checking is done as usual before entering the passenger-only area and the platforms. This time though, the staff simply scanned the code printed on the boarding pass as compared to the previous ticking off the details on the blue ticket. The concourse level to the platforms. Just follow the signs pointing to which train you are boarding – platforms are standardized for each train. Most trains depart from Platform 3 or 4, the southbound platform. Only a selected number of trains depart from the northbound or Jakarta Kota-bound platform, but probably due to either the quick turnaround of rakes or a short timetable allowance to quickly allow the train depart for Jakarta Kota and the depot. In case you fail to see the signs above, there’s another sign with departure times placed just beside the escalator. The information screens around the concourse area showing the next trains’ departure. I arrived at Gambir early to do some trainspotting first, so I managed to see the Bima train which I will be on board the next day. That also means I’m a whole 1 hour early for my Gajayana train. The crew of the Bima getting ready for departure with a briefing and prayer. Bima and MONAS. Some KRL spotting at Gambir. To save you the agony of going through my KRL photos at Gambir, I won’t be posting them here to shorten the picture-length of this post. You’re welcome. The locomotive of the Argo Jati from Cirebon doing a quick run-around to form the next train to Cirebon. Argo Jati and MONAS. Just as I got a little tired from turning my head and camera on the platform for the past hour, my Gajayana is arriving. CC206 13 15 leads the KA Gajayana to Malang on my journey. This particular batch of coaches are manufactured in 2017. So now you understand my strange choice combination of train to Surabaya and Banyuwangi Baru. The familiar start of the KATV programming as the train departs. Departing Jakarta for Malang, as new automated announcements are played welcoming all passengers on board. The welcome is followed by a safety video. An error on my coach’s information panel saying that my train is a KLB (Kereta Luar Biasa) Eksekutif, which got promptly fixed after the safety video ended. I wish I had the money to be on a KLB though. Heading off towards the west from Manggarai, splitting off from the Bogor line. New viaducts leading to Manggarai Sentral in the future. Blankets were handed out by the Reska staff shortly after departure. I wasn’t expecting this at all. But then again, I reminded myself that this is the KA 42 Gajayana and not the Shuttle 42 to Gemas. The nice warm blanket with the PT KAI logo embossed at the corner. Each blanket pack is sealed for hygiene purposes. Following behind the blankets is the conductor. I got my ticket ready for checking, only to realise he was just looking at passengers while alternating his glances on his phone. The new boarding pass system registers all passengers at their seats upon check in, which links it to an app on the conductor’s phone, eliminating the need for the conductor to individually check tickets. He only stops to check on those holding concession tickets. This is brilliant. No wonder tickets got “checked” so quickly even though I was at Coach 8, the last coach of the train. Shortly after, I decided that it was time for dinner, so I headed to the Kereta Makan with hopes of good in-train catering. The crew room and small Musholla with just enough space for one person are also found in the Kereta Makan. Hmm, meals on the counter, I’ve not seen this on my previous trip. I asked for the Gajayana menu but I was told by the staff that the menu has been standardised across all trains. I had a choice of Nasi Uduk, Nasi Goreng Bakso, or Nasi Goreng Parahyangan. Not as appealing as the tenderloin steak I was hoping to have, but Nasi Goreng Parahyangan was the most appetizing of the lot. Here’s the packaging of the Nasi Goreng Parahyangan. Even before opening the meal box and hot chocolate, I had a strange feeling The feeling of disappointment. Expectation: Nicely presented Nasi Goreng Parahyangan from Reska 2 years ago. Reality: Fried Rice wrapped in burger-style with side of sad egg, thin chicken drumstick and garnished with individually-packed disappointment. I tried to present it well. I really tried. But I failed. Why, Reska, why. Back in my full coach to retire for the night. The frills available for the night’s sleep. Through the night, there were some passenger movements and lots of loud announcements to wake people up at stations such as Purwokerto, Kutoarjo and Yogyakarta. There might have been some announcements made at Solo Balapan or Madiun too but I was too tired to be disturbed by it already. I woke up as the sun slowly rose just before Kertosono, with the cleaning staff changing the bottle of almost-empty air freshener. Kertosono station. Since the train stopped here for a while, I made some quick shots while the train is stable for the few minutes. On top of the new trend of INKA coaches having to lift the lever upwards to open the doors, there’s an additional latch at the bottom to keep the doors locked from the inside while the train is moving. The squat toilet on the new 2017 K10 bogie coach. The western sitting toilet has more space though, enough for a small wheelchair to fit. Leaving Kertosono to enter the Blitar line, the long and wrong way to Surabaya, but my preferred way. Crossing the Sungai Brantas. Splitting off the line to Surabaya. The sunrise as the Gajayana heads on to Blitar and Malang. The train ran relatively empty for the last part of the journey. Breakfast time, with the meals option exactly the same as dinner. The very sad looking Nasi Goreng Bakso. Couldn’t improve the presentation of this packaging at all. Taking the sharp right curve after Tulungagung. Crossing over the Nguri railway bridge. On the way to Blitar. Blitar station. And time for more still shots of the interior of the coach. The gangway design familiar to new INKA products. The reclined and upright seat position of the K10 bogie Eksekutif class. On the way to Malang. And on the left of the train after Blitar sits the Gunung Kelud or Mount Kelud, an active volcano which last erupted in 2014 and. The Mount Kelud got shy after the initial shot though, not sure if it’s because of the sunlight, clouds or volcanic dust. Passing beside the Karangkates Dam before entering a series of tunnels around the Karangkates Reservoir. More scenery on the way to Malang. The interior of the almost-empty coach on the Gajayana. While offered as the lowest fare class, it’s clearly not the seat which offers the best legroom even though it’s at the end of the coach. The cheap but inconvenient single seat at the end of the coach, as you will be the doorman for the passengers who walk through the coach without shutting the doors. Even if you hate your new found job, you still have to do it unless you plan to endure the noisy ride. Arriving into Malang with the KATV showing some music video that was shot in Singapore. My stopover was purely for trainspotting. In the morning, I set off from my hotel to cover the rail lines that would have been otherwise skipped if I had concentrated solely on the long-distance routes. Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia, is the national shipping company of Indonesia, operating ferries which connect the main islands of the Indonesian archipelago. The PELNI office in Batam is a 10-minute leisurely walk from Sekupang Ferry Terminal. It is located at Jl. Cipto Mangunkusumo No. 4, Sekupang, Batam. PELNI ferries from Batam go to two destinations, namely Tanjung Priok (in Jakarta) and Belawan (for Medan). The fare table for the two destinations the KM Kelud serves from Batam: Tanjung Priok (in Jakarta) and Belawan (for Medan). You will be given this form to fill up your details in order for you to buy your tickets. Tickets generally go on sale on the month of departure ie. Departures in May are sold in May. You may also download and print an English-translated version of this form here: Present your passport if you don’t speak Indonesian or you have a messy handwriting so the staff can help you fill in your details in the system. The KM Kelud departs from Batu Ampar in Batam for Tanjung Priok, Jakarta at 1.00pm on Wednesdays and returns to Batam and Belawan on Fridays at 8.00am. The full routing of the KM Kelud is Belawan – Tanjung Balai Karimun – Batu Ampar – Tanjung Priok – Batu Ampar – Tanjung Balai Karimun – Belawan, though during peak seasons such as the month of Ramadan, more trips will be added on the Belawan – Batu Ampar – Belawan route, sacrificing the Tanjung Balai Karimun and Tanjung Priok stops as they aren’t as popular. You should check PELNI’s website at for the latest timetable details. View the details of my journey on the KM Kelud here: • • • • • • • Follow my journey from here!, the crowd wasn’t intimidating after all. When I joined the queue, there was a grand total of 4 passengers – that’s number of people and not groups – ahead of me, so I was processed rather fast by the guy scanning my ticket, tearing his portion off and stamping my hand with the “PELNI Seal of Approval”. Boarding only looked messy because there are a few parallel lines, including one for the porters’ entry. (Of course it isn’t called that, in case you’re actually wondering. It’s more of a big red circle instead.) My stamped and validated ticket. The transfer bus to the ferry is operated by a Hino bus. The welcome panel up the gangway on board the KM Kelud. In case you’re wondering, KM isn’t part of the actual name of the ship. In the English-speaking world, you might be more familiar with the abbreviation MV in front of ships instead, which stands for Motor Vessel. KM stands for Kapal Motor, which is the same thing in Indonesian. The ship’s namesake, Kelud, is a mountain on West Java which you will see in an upcoming post. And lunch is actually served. I wasn’t expecting this. Turns out that they prepare a small lunch portion for the early birds who board early, since boarding starts at 11am and the ship sets sail at 1pm. How nice of them. After dinner was done, I walked around the ship to watch the sunset. The next day, I was awoken at around 4.30am for the Subuh prayer blasted on the PA system. While there was a slight buffer thanks to my cabin door, somehow it felt really loud as compared to the ones in the day time. After the prayer, I couldn’t get back to sleep since I slept for quite a while already, so I just freshened up after tossing and turning for a while and prepared to be called to breakfast. Breakfast was white rice with bee hoon and omelette. I just took the bee hoon an omelette though everyone else treated the bee hoon as the side dish to the white rice. I got a Pop Mie Goreng and a Kopi Bali from Alfamart for my post-breakfast pre-lunch meal. The noodles were prepared by the awesome Alfamart guy who wouldn’t let you serve yourself in the self-service convenience store and made the entire meal for me, including draining the water and adding the ingredients in. Not forgetting the additional cardboard sleeve and stirrer for the coffee. I ate my morning tea outside with the friendly locals whom I met the previous day. Most of them were coming from Belawan (Medan), which might explain the lack of passengers boarding from Batam. Three of the significant people I met on this cruise ferry were a Swiss guy who came from home overland, similar to my journey, to Jakarta to work for a few months as National Service, a friendly Indonesian who spent 20 years in France (and spoke to the Swiss guy in French, but the Swiss guy was from the German-speaking part of Switzerland), and another Indonesian who spent 30 years in Singapore working for the maritime industry and “watched the port grow from Pasir Panjang to Tuas”. No modern entertainment, but lots of friendly locals around. If you spent the entire journey from Belawan to Jakarta, you might even be friends with the entire deck of passengers. I decided to explore the Economy Class section when I realised that the entire Deck 3 and 2 of the ship was empty. So much for overcrowding on the ship. But then again, I did plan my journey so that it doesn’t clash with any peak periods. Back at Deck 4 where the bulk of Economy Class passengers have beds on. Even on this deck, you can still see some empty bunks especially on the upper tier. The PELNI Mart on Deck 4. The offerings here are similar to the one on Deck 6 where the First Class cabins are. Lunch on Day 2. The live band is back, entertaining what is of the passengers in First and Second Class. They were also at the restaurant for the previous day’s dinner. This seems rather sad actually. I wonder how this place was like in the ship’s heyday. There’s a canteen with real prepared food outside the Economy Class on Deck 5. Here’s some items on the menu. Individual dishes with rice are also available to choose from on the counter. I got a packet of Nasi Goreng as when I asked the stewards during lunch if dinner will be served, they were still unsure and if there will be, they will knock on my door again. So I got this meal as a standby. My fourth meal today. My last meal on the KM Kelud before arriving in Jakarta. This is indeed turning into a cruise instead. The KM Kelud was already outside of the Port of Tanjung Priok at around 5pm,, and stopped short of entering the port. After about another half an hour of non-movement, the captain made an announcement saying that we are “drifting” as they are waiting for the pilot to board the ship to bring us into the port, and that we would get moving in about 20 minutes. Precise choice of words there. The announcement was made in both Indonesian and English by the way. Approaching the Port of Tanjung Priok as the sky gets dark. The welcome to the Port of Tanjung Priok. That isn’t the passenger building or a shopping mall by the way, just blocks of office buildings. Here’s the actual passenger terminal. The wharf here seems shorter than the one at Batu Ampar in Batam, hence needing the additional steps for the lower decks of the ship. Descending down the stairs to disembark from Deck 5 and not the Economy Class gangway I was ushered onto on the first day. The gangway was rather worn out and steep though. Furthermore, this had curved steps rather than height-adjustable flat steps. Descending down slowly and carefully. The exterior of the KM Kelud. A final look at my floating hotel for the past 30 hours. You should check PELNI’s website at for the latest timetable details., I got to Tanjung Priok Railway Station at 7.15pm, 5 minutes after the scheduled departure of the last KRL train bound for Jakarta Kota. The gates to the platform were shut already. Disappointed, I backtracked to the Transjakarta halt. Inside my Corridor 12 bus. After about an hour thanks to the evening Jakarta jams at the road junctions, I arrived at Jakarta Kota to transfer to the KRL. View the details of my journey on the KM Kelud here: • • • • • • • Follow my journey from here! I got to Tanjung Priok Railway Station at 7.15pm, 5 minutes after the scheduled departure of the last KRL train bound for Jakarta Kota. The gates to the platform were shut already. The empty station. Disappointed, I backtracked to the Transjakarta halt. Boarding the first bus I saw at the platform plying on Corridor 10. The empty ladies-only area. The crowded mixed gender area. After enquiring with a staff since the destination sign wasn’t showing Jakarta Kota, I was informed that I was on the wrong bus. Crossing over to my correct Corridor 12 bus via the Corridor 10 bus. Inside my correct Corridor 12 bus. After about an hour thanks to the evening Jakarta jams at the road junctions, I arrived at Jakarta Kota to transfer to the KRL. The train which will get me to my hotel for the night. It took me a while to realise that this is a set which has been repainted into the KRL corporate livery. A partially unrepainted car on my train set. From Mangga Besar, I walked for a few minutes to my hotel where I rested for the night. A Lion Air plane approaching Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta Airport. This plane might have left Batam just under 2 hours ago, who knows. Still waiting for the pilot boat while the sun sets. Finally, the KM Kelud got moving at 6pm – the scheduled arrival time at the port. The pilot boarding the KM Kelud using a Jacob’s ladder. One of the crew on the pilot boat waving to the passengers. Approaching the Port of Tanjung Priok as the sky gets dark. The aft tugboat guiding us into the port. There are some other PELNI ships in the port, but are just resting or undergoing maintenance. Just outside the wharf, the KM Kelud gets turned around so that the bow heads outwards. Almost ready for disembarking. I got a shot of an empty Class 1B cabin while leaving my room. Seems that there’s additional privacy curtains for this class. The Economy Class gangway. The Alfamart from outside. A final look at my floating hotel for the past 30 hours. Entering the passenger terminal for another round of customs clearance. The outside of the terminal, where I was quoted a “cheapest” price of Rp100,000 for a 5-minute ride to just get out of the port area. Outside the parking area, the price dropped to Rp50,000. I continued walking towards Tanjung Priok Railway Station, which turned out faster due to the traffic jam ahead. I was awoken at around 4.30am for the Subuh prayer blasted on the PA system. The usual crowd at the restaurant. While walking around the ship after breakfast, I saw some PELNI TV routers. Unfortunately, the signal isn’t really strong for a stable connection. Anyway, the internet for my Telkomsel SIM card was working well near land so it was fine. If you’re interested in getting a phone connection on the ship, note that Telkomsel is the only one that has a connection whether it’s 1G, 2G, 3G or 4G throughout the journey. Yes, at most part of the second day of my journey, even 2G wasn’t available but the calling line was there throughout. After returning to my cabin and realising that there’s nothing to do till lunch, I went for another ship tour. The Alfamart is pretty well-stocked on board the KM Kelud. There’s everything you need and more. Prices are around double or triple of the Alfamarts on land though. I got a Pop Mie Goreng and a Kopi Bali for my post-breakfast pre-lunch meal. The noodles were prepared by the awesome Alfamart guy who wouldn’t let you serve yourself in the self-service convenience store and made the entire meal for me, including draining the water and adding the ingredients in. No modern entertainment, but lots of friendly locals around. If you spent the entire journey from Belawan to Jakarta, you might even be friends with the entire deck of passengers. The view from the roof. As I was heading down, it was time to wash down the deck, so I had to thread back to the inside part of the ship carefully since I was wearing slippers and the risk was higher if I had slipped and fell overboard instead. The Musholla available on board, named the Musholla Al-Azhar. The crew taking their job really seriously with high-pressure water hoses and lots of soapy water in pails. I decided to explore the Economy Class section when I realised that the entire Deck 3 and 2 of the ship was empty. So much for overcrowding on the ship. But then again, I did plan my journey so that it doesn’t clash with any peak periods. Some smart vandalism on Deck 4 by a disgruntled passenger. Back at Deck 4 where the bulk of Economy Class passengers have beds on. Even on this deck, you can still see some empty bunks especially on the upper tier. The PELNI Mart on Deck 4. The offerings here are similar to the one on Deck 6 where the First Class cabins are. The original Economy Class on Deck 5 with a single-level access rather than the newer double-deck bunks. Each bed has an individual power socket. A certicifate certifying that the KM Kelud is the best ship in the fleet in 2010. A common sign around the ship. The inauguration of the KM Kelud on 7 December 1998. The plan of the ship was too wide for a photo in the narrow corridor, but I managed to get the portion of the capacity of the ship. Based on this, I can deduce the following: Class 1A: 64 persons (32 outside cabins) Class 1B: 80 persons (20 inside cabins) Class 2A: 252 persons (42 outside cabins) Class 2B: 112 persons (14 inside cabins) Economy Class: 1398 passengers Total: 1906 passengers I also found the place where they keep the mattresses which aren’t in use for the empty Deck 2. This actually looks rather fun to be in, too bad there’s no aircon here. Lunch on Day 2. The live band is back, entertaining what is of the passengers in First and Second Class. They were also at the restaurant for the previous day’s dinner. This seems rather sad actually. I wonder how this place was like in the ship’s heyday. I walked around the restaurant after lunch. Seems like they may have had a disco at night last time. This might be for the disco guests in First Class. There were also some stuff for a Christian service in the restaurant. Among other Indonesian hymns printed in the book, there’s this gem. Approaching Jakarta. Dinner was indeed served, though I was a little late to it. My last meal on the KM Kelud. This is indeed turning into a cruise instead. The last sunset before arriving in Jakarta. I was informed by the staff that there was another guy sharing my room and he could get me another room for a fee of Rp100,000. I obliged, and then another staff said Rp200,000 would be good, to which I responded that I could almost buy another Economy Class ticket at that price. Rp150,000 he asked, to which I said nevermind, I’ll just remain where I am. And that’s how he dropped back down to Rp100,000. The last few passengers arriving by the transfer bus. First, a little tour of my cabin. Each Class 1A cabin fits two people, and can be shared between two single travellers of the same sex. The reading desk, TV, coffee making facilities (no coffee provided) and lockable wardrobe. The attached western-style bathroom and hot water shower. The first and second class gangway being hoisted up prior to departure. Navy ships at Batu Ampar. The staff lashing down the cargo containers for sea. The port crew letting go of the lines. Slipping off from Batu Ampar Port. Harbour Bay as seen from the ship. Looking back at Batu Ampar Port. The Singapore skyline as seen from the ship. Shortly after departure, an announcement was made for all passengers to return to their respective places for ticket checking, and all connecting doors between parts of the ship will be locked. Once that was done, I returned to the promenade deck to see rain coming down on eastern Singapore. The hatch to the promenade deck. The builder plate of the KM Kelud. Batam Centre with its grand Hollywood sign. Now for more pictures of the facilities on board the KM Kelud. The sun deck on Deck 7. There is an Alfamart on the roof (that’s what it says on the ship plan), above Deck 7, with a seating area outside. A clinic is available on board for any medical needs. A photo wall is available outside the clinic in case you fail to spot any real-life dolphins out at sea. A nice painting of the KM Kelud. A new Economy Class layout with double deck bunk beds, as opposed to the other pictures I have seen online. There is also a mini theatre on Deck 2, the lowest deck a passenger can access. Tickets for each movie screening cost Rp10,000, which will be announced and opened about an hour before the movie begins. Outside the theatre, there are the older Economy Class bed frames which seem to be undergoing on upgrade with power sockets for each bed. The PELNI Mart outside of the First Class area. The route map of the KM Kelud. I retired back to my cabin for a while before the steward knocked on my door to inform that dinner was ready. The dinner spread for the entire number of passengers in First AND Second Class. My portion for dinner. After dinner was done, I walked around the ship to watch the sunset. During this time, the Maghrib prayer is blasted onto the PA system. It’s worth to note that all Islamic prayers, 5 times a day, are broadcasted onto the PA system. I didn’t notice during the day, but the Alfamart signs are pointing out of the ship, away from passengers’ view. Whatever for? The dressed ship for night time. First day: done. Since there wasn’t anything else to do, aside from the movie screening and live music at 9pm, I went to bed early. Next post: Posts navigation. Foxbase Alpha is the first album by British band Saint Etienne, released in 1991.The album was recorded in a style which drew on the club culture and house music of the time, but also incorporates the group's characteristic love of 1960s pop, with tracks also bridged by samples from films or by short songs. Please contact us for more information and for complimentary and confidential advice. ![]() No matter the associates or variables involved, a album is always going to end up sounding just like a album, even if it's a little different from what came before it. On, the group gets two productions from (, ), several vocal arrangements from (, ) and son, some songwriting and vocal contributions from the misunderstood ('Rock On,' 'Stardust'), and assorted things from faces old and new. The album comes out as their most organic since 1998's; even the tracks driven by programming are warm in comparison to vast chunks of both and. The concept -- a day in the life of fictional characters who live in a house that does indeed exist -- allows for a range of material that's as broad as what can be heard on any other album. The glitzy dance-pop of 'Stars Above Us' ('Stars above us, cars below us/Nothing can touch us, baby'), for example, precedes the ruminative 'Teenage Winter,' containing an all-too-sharp expression of the resisted shift away from adolescent fanaticism ('And in the charity shop.not much left on the doorstep recently/Something to do with eBay, Johnny reckons/He's bidding on it now, for a Subbuteo catalog '81-'82/He'll win it, put it in a drawer and forget he ever bought it'). Though the other dancefloor-ready songs -- the sleek, silken 'A Good Thing' and the sweetly lacerating 'Lightning Strikes Twice' -- have major presence, the gentler moments, thriving on easy-to-miss intricacies and enlivening vocal arrangements (the men are astute disciples), are especially generous with their charms. Version, released on Savoy Jazz (this is not a joke), has a substantially different sequence and three tracks not present on the original U.K. ![]() The best of the three is the B-side 'I'm Falling,' a collaboration that is gorgeously melancholy and not far off from an atmospheric version of 's 'We're in the City.' Unfortunately, it does not contain 's vocal contribution, 'Relocate.' It's understandable that the label would want to add tracks to the album to differentiate it from a version that had been released months prior, but the resequencing and swapping out of tracks is a real head-scratcher.]. I use to unleash all the awesomeness of my iPhone. It’s always great to that make my device stand out from the rest. But the only dark side is a lack of OTA. Every time a new iOS update is released, I have to manually restore my iPhone through iTunes. Restore iPhone without throwing tantrums| However, while updating to iOS 9.2, I was getting an error 1667 and had no clue what it meant. Even the was also of no use. I mean, tips like Update your OS, check if USB is correctly plugged in is not what I was hoping for. I researched a lot and then I came to the conclusion that you have to bend the rules sometimes to get things done. And, this time, I was going to manually flash the OS to my iPhone. To my surprise, it worked without any errors. So here’s a step-by-step guide on it. ![]() Introduccion al derecho agustin squella pdf completo, Dimensions ipad air 2 in inches, International financial management 11th edition, User's touch manuals. If it doesn't show up, you have to wait for some more time to get the official software update via OTA. If you are unable to wait and want to install and upgrade your existing iOS device with the latest iOS 11 GM version, you can download the official IPSW restore file for a respective iOS device and then you. Restoring iPhone using IPSW File Step 1: First thing’s first. Take a full backup of your iPhone using iTunes and make sure you choose the backup location to your computer and also include apps in the backup. This will make sure you don’t waste bandwidth to restore your iPhone. Just in case you want to be extra sure, you can also. Step 2: Make sure your iPhone is at least 70% charged and look at the back of your iPhone for the model number. Now and check if your phone is a GSM or a Global Model. Having done that, head over to IPSW Downloads and. Step 3: Now, select the device and the version of iOS you would like to download. Make sure you only download the signed firmware from here as they can only be restored using iTunes. Step 4: The download file size can be around 1.5 to 2 GBs. Once it’s downloaded, restart the phone and connect it back to iTunes and wait for it to get detected. Open the iPhone management page on iTunes and then hold down Shift to click on the Restore button. Step 5: Holding down the shift button will give you the option to choose the IPSW files you downloaded from the web. Once you choose the file, iTunes will start the restore process and the phone might boot several times in between the progress. Warning: Please don’t disconnect the phone from the computer till the progress is complete and you see the welcome screen on your iPhone. If you still get the error, and then try to restore using iTunes. Restoring using DFU mode should be the last resort and you can check this guide on how to put the iPhone in DFU mode in the very first place. It can be tricky to put the phone in DFU mode, but if you follow the guide, you will be able to achieve in 2 to 3 attempts. After the phone is restored to the latest version of iOS, connect the phone again to iTunes and restore the backup you created at the very beginning. Dependent on other things. First, were you going for a continuous or sectional T&V? For continuous, you may think about how pachebel's cannon goes--gradually increasing in complexity and whatnot with each variation. In this one, you increase in a fairly standard way, but it's all in the same variation, which makes it kind of disjunct when you get to the 'sections' within the variation--it sounds too abrupt switching from 8th notes to triplets to 16ths. Mendelssohn, Felix Wedding March sheet music for Guitar - 8notes.com. Wedding March, Bridal Chorus, Here Comes the Bride: this famous piece is known by all those titles. Wedding March for Classical Guitar - Solo instrument (Acoustic Guitar [notation]) by Felix Mendelssohn - Download Sheet Music PDF file. ![]() Then your 2nd variation slows way down, which would be fine. But maybe too soon and ideally you'd want to come up afterward, end on a high note, so to speak. If you're going for sectional, you may want to add some more definite breaks in it at the end of each variation. Really in either case, what I would do, FWIW, is space out your thematic stuff a bit more. Do a whole variation with 8th notes, then triplets, then maybe a slow one in A minor, then. At least end on 16th notes, don't necessarily have to start with them. Also in the early ones try to maintain a lot of the original melody, in this one the melody kind of gets lost in your first variation where you're just sort of playing with the harmony, which is common in later variations but as a first one. Functionally the actual melody isn't 'in our heads' enough yet to see enough similarity between that and the original melody to really perceive it as a variation. I like the way it sounds overall, this is just a bit of a mix of 'how 'they' did it' and 'how 'I' do it' as constructive criticism. Fantastic feedback, Drew! I composed it so long ago, I am not sure what I was thinking, but I like the idea of a slow A min variation or other related key. Ending on a more exciting variation (16ths) would be good too. Also, we needed to get my wife down the aisle and I could not make the piece too long:) Perhaps that may explain the lack of development, no minor section and partial variations here. You made an excellent critical reply with tact and substance which is a pleasant event on a forum.
